Warning signs of an abusive relationship you should be aware of...

  • Blames you for his/her anger.
  • Serious drug or alcohol use. 
  • History of violent behavior.
  • History of discipline problems.
  • Threatens others regularly.
  • Insults you or calls you names.
  • Trouble controlling feelings of anger.
  • Tells you what to wear, what to do or how to act.
  • Threatens or intimidates you in order to get their way.
  • Prevents you from spending time with friends or family.
  • Overly jealous or possessive.
  • Won't accept breaking up.
  • Pressures or forces you to have sex.

If you are in a dangerous relationship don’t ignore the signs due to denial, and don’t get the idea that you can change them, because more than likely... you can’t. Here are a few places you can go for help.
